129th Birthday of the National Museum!
If you know anything about the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina it is that it is full of different cultural events throughout the year. The Bosnians nourish their heritage and Culture whenever they get chance to. This month marks 129 birthday of the National Museum of art and Herzegovina.
The museum is full of different exhibitions such as the birds of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the rocks and ores and the forests of Bosnia and Herzegovina. But most importantly the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina is home to Sarajevo Haggadah. With only for Haggard as in the world this is a must see while in the capital. The Haggadah in Hebrew means story and it is a collection of religious rules and traditions arranged into the order of the Seder observed and Passover, the holiday celebrating the liberation of the Jews from slavery in Egypt.
Unfortunately throughout the years, the Museum was shut down because of underfunding. We were unable to keep it open, but the Museum is back and running and it is truly a place that you should visit in Sarajevo. From nature to history it has something for everyone. It is also home to the botanical gardens and many historical artifacts.
Will you be there to celebrate the big 129th birthday of this beautiful museum?
