Take a stroll down Baščaršija during winter

I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but I hate winter. I am more of a spring person, thinking of the cold and snow and everything else associated with winter is just yuck for me! This winter I happened to be in Sarajevo. Before arriving, I heard so much about Sarajevo and how the winters can get very cold, man was I mad.

I have to admit, I wasn’t mad for long, after checking into my hostel I went out for a walk. The city was lit with beautiful decorations, I felt as if I was in a winter wonderland. It was snowing the previous days, everything was covered with snow. I hadn’t seen snow in ages, this was beautiful.

I started walking towards the main square and on the streets you have people selling pomegranate juice-freshly squeezed- I had to take some, it was delicious. The cute little boutiques, selling so many different items.

Even though it was pretty cold tonight, everyone was soo cheerful and happy, it makes you think, damn these people have been through a lot and yet their enjoying their life with huge smiles on their faces.

Somebody told me about the holiday market nearby this is something I have to check out.
